Character: Can be aggressive towards fish. These shrimp are not well known to be kept in an aquarium. They are not suitable to be kept with other shrimp.
Tank setup: From 60cm. Some pieces of wood and some tough plants will suffice. It is advised to keep about 1 shrimp per 10 liter of water.
Waterconditions: Temperature of 18-28ºC with soft water. Other parameters do not really seem to matter. Make sure there is Calcium in the water for the outer shell.
Feeding: Will eat algae, excessive food, cooked vergetables, special shrimp-food and frozen food. The also like to eat snails and dead fish.
Breeding: Not easy but should be feasible. There is little information present about reproduction apart from the fact that they breed in fresh water. Most likely the temperature should be kept high (25-26ºC).
