Neocaridina cf. Zhangjiajiensis 'White pearl'
Origin: Germany (Bred). Appearance: These white pearl shrimp is a white mutation of the Neocaridina denticulata sp. and will crossbreed with the Cherryshrimp(Neocaridina denticulata sinensis var. red).
This shrimp has a white body and black eyes.
Sexing: Females are bigger and often they have a white back-stripe. Females are also more robust. In the first 1.5 weeks the eggs are white as snow and will turn transparent later.
Life span: Up to 2 years. Size: 2.5 to 3cm. Sexually mature: 3 months. Gestation: 14 to 21 days. Character: Friendly. Should not be kept with large fish. Tank setup: From 20 liters with plants. Plants with small leaves and Java moss are suitable. Waterconditions: Temperature 20-28ºC with an acidity of pH6.5 to pH7.5. Feeding: Will eat algae, excessive food, cooked vegetables and detritus. Leafs from beach, alder and oak trees will be eaten as well. Breeding: Very easy.
