Origin: Indian and Pacific oceans.
Appearance: Usually black/yellow with different stripes. Several spines on their shells, probably to protect themselves from outside predators. They are closely related to the Neritinas.
Sexing: Unknown.
Life span: Probably 8-10 years.
Size: Up to 1.5cm.
Sexually mature: Unknown.
Gestation:
Character: Peaceful, fun and very graceful.
Tank setup: Suitable for various freshwater aquariums.
Waterconditions: Fresh water.
Feeding: Algae, excessive food, plant remains.
Breeding: Probably brackish water.
Tank mates: Can be places with most fish and shrimps. Not with cichlids or snail eaters such as the puffer fish and/or clown botia.
